MAKING ROOM FOR THE HARVEST
- RLC BUILDING EXPANSION -

OUR VISION
We live in the fastest growing area in the nation - and we believe that's no accident. God is drawing people, and we are responding with faith and expectation. We are preparing, building, and making room to create more space for ministry and community. The Harvest is coming, and we are getting ready!
PHASE ONE
Renovate Kid's Worship Room
Fireside room expansion: new Kids/ Adults classrooms and double capacity bathrooms
Expand the existing sanctuary with 160+ seats, media room, and lobby space
PROJECT PLAN
The preliminary project cost is $1.5 million, covering key expansions to our church facilities, including updating children's areas, expanding the worship space, and modernizing communal areas. Renovations for the children's facilities are already underway, featuring a renovated worship room, a new nursery, and a walkers' room near the fireside room to create a more inviting environment.
Improvements to the main worship sanctuary and surrounding areas will increase seating capacity by over 160, more than double the size of the lobby, provide larger accessible restrooms, and add additional backstage space. We will provide updated cost projections accordingly, ensuring effective stewardship of expenses. Significant changes will be communicated; any cost increases exceeding 10% will require approval from the church board or building committee.

OUR HISTORY
The Beginning
This church is over a century old! The history of our building begins 120 years ago, in 1905.
The church originally started out as Lucas Christian Church with 1.25 acres of land. Here, the original sanctuary and outdoor tabernacle were erected. In these early years, Brite Divinity School in Fort Worth supplied student preachers for services once a month.
The church existed this way for many years, until it began to grow and expand in the 80’s. Since 1979, the church added 35 new members, a nursery, Sunday school classes, a Fellowship Hall and an updated kitchen. A team began planning the addition of new facilities based on projected growth of church and community.

Starting to Build
In 2000, the church began school ministry, birthing Lucas Christian Academy. The Education Building, 20 more acres, and more parking southwest of the church were purchased to house the ministry. Later Lucas Christian Academy would become autonomous and purchase 16 acres from the church to build their new School.
In 2006, the name was changed and the church became Faith Fellowship to reflect the identity and heart of the current church.
In 2013, the Main Building received a complete interior facelift. Fully funded by donations and contributions.
2005
Resonate Life Church
In 2017, the church rebranded once again, and we officially became Resonate Life Church!
In August of 2018, our lead pastors Jeff and Sarah Sparkman officially stepped up and began leading Resonate Life Church. Jeff and Sarah had felt a call from the Lord, and they moved to Lucas Texas with a vision to see this local church be a light in the community for Jesus Christ.
Ever since, our church has been steadily growing. The Lord has used them to continue to shepherd this growing church and foster the presence of God and a love for one another.

Making Room for the Harvest
Today, Resonate Life Church continues to grow exponentially. We are in awe of God’s provision over the years, and extremely grateful for the continual increase in our wonderful church family!
As more and more continue to join our church, the less space we have to accommodate. Our goal is to create more space to house the incredible harvest God has brought to our area. We aim to be a church that loves God and one another deeply, to walk as Spirit-filled believers in a broken world, to reveal the extravagant love of Jesus, and to display the supernatural power of God. We hope you will come alongside us in this next step of our journey, and pray God’s will is done in all of our plans!
